This is a very nice, independently owned motel located
on North Fremont Street in Monterey about a 4 mins.
drive from downtown Monterey and nearby the Fairgrounds.
Guest rooms include TV with VCR, hair dryer, coffee
maker, mini refrigerator, satellite television with 6
HBO channels, CD clock radio players, and fresh cut
flowers brought in by the maid staff daily. The Lodge
has an indoor whirlpool and sauna and fitness center;
some rooms include a kitchen.
Review: "There are a lot of motels to choose from in
Monterey and it's hard to know which ones are good. This
place is locally owned and well maintained and has a
very loyal following - especially amongst scuba divers
and families visiting the Aquarium. No frills from the
outside but the rooms have everything you could need
(micro/fridge, VCR, Sat TV) and managers John and
Barbara have been there for years, are friendly, and
have great stories to tell."

available on weekends) for a room with one queen bed or
