The Candle light inn is located just a couple blocks from Ocean Avenue in downtown Carmel, the Candlelight Inn is an attractive, Tudor style inn with a feel of a bed and breakfast with pine furnishings and colorful Ralph Lauren prints and attractive artwork. Rooms at the Candlelight are very spacious and include love seats and even some have wood burning fireplaces and kitchens. They do serve a comp. Cont. breakfast, which is, delivered right to your door in a picnic basket. They also feature a large, outdoor whirlpool. $239.00-$289.0

The Dolphin Inn is located just a few blocks from Ocean Avenue; the Dolphin Inn is a newly renovated inn in Carmel. Guestrooms are very attractively decorated with an elegant border, textured wallpaper, lace curtains, mirrored wardrobe doors, jewel tone bedspreads and a sitting area with two comfortable chairs. Some rooms have fireplaces and all rooms have coffee makers, a mini-refrigerator and fresh flowers. The Svendsgaard's Inn is a charming garden inn, which is located just 3 blocks off Ocean Avenue in Carmel. You can lounge by their heated pool and enjoy the garden setting or take a short walk into town. Their well appointed guest rooms are decorated with a French country style with a draped table, high back chairs, and draped beds and many rooms have gas burning fireplaces. A complimentary continental breakfast and newspaper are delivered to your door in the morning. $219-$269.00

The Wayside Inn is a property that exudes all of the character of Carmel inside and out. As a member of Inns by the Sea, the Wayside Inn is a well regarded 3-diamond rated, brick and ivy covered inn located within one block from Ocean Avenue and the majority of area shops and restaurants. The hotel has both their standard guestrooms and newly remodeled rooms (remodeled in 2002). The older rooms are still quite nice with a decor that features wood paneled walls, wood shutters, country decor with floral bedspreads and many are larger suites with full sized kitchens. Their newer rooms (a total of 10 of their 24) are decorated with a tulle pattern (some with blue, green or red themes) with wainscoting, padded headboards, plantation shutters, matching drapes and valances, tiled entryways, wet bars with microwaves and refrigerators and sinks, and some include fireplace and/or in room Jacuzzi tubs.
