Monterey is considered the "hub" of the Peninsula. Although most people think of Fisherman's Wharf and Cannery Row, there is a lot more to Monterey than first meets the eye. There are tremendous recreational trails, hiking, kayaking, fine dining, ocean view properties, beaches, parks and unique shopping. Alvarado Street is our main part of downtown with a Tuesday Farmers market, two movie theaters, restaurants and shops. Our main hotel areas are located in downtown Monterey and Cannery Row while most of our motels are on Munras Avenue or North Fremont Street.
